8 Facts about Rayan Beaumont, that third guy

I got tagged some time ago by another meme lover (I mean actual memes, not meme journals) .
The problem was that I was too lazy and not active enough to do it, BUT... I decided to do it anyway, because, why not ?

I also decided to take one of my main characters. I usually mention him when talking about either Speed or Kayle, but I don't talk that much about him.

Yes, time for "Ray" to come back.

1.Ray was originally meant to be another friend of Speed. However, due to changes made to Kayle's personality, I decided to give Rayan more of a "normal" character, in order to counter Speed's tortured mind and Kayle's irrationality. As a result, he might appear like the most normal character when compared to the other two.

2.Ray's character also has a great impact on Speed's gang. It is true Speed often abandons some of his ideas when talking with his half-brother Jeff, but Rayan also has a big influence on his choices. Since Speed usually discuss what he will do for his gang with Kayle and Ray, some of his plans usually get criticised by the later. Rayan and Jeff actually share some ideals, so plans that Jeff would have disliked but that Speed did not told him about generally get disapproved by Ray. As a result, he is a kind of security for the gang, making sure Speed avoids the riskiest plans, and if he does not abandon them, making sure he actually has a chance to not get in trouble.

3.Let's talk about transportation for a moment. Like many members of Speed's gang, Ray has multiple vehicles : a BMW R80/7 motorbike and a 1947 Chevrolet COE van.


I chose both vehicles for a reason. Since I really like WWII vehicles, I originally chose a BMW R60 for Ray. But I finally preferred to give him a more modern motorbike, which is why I chose the R80/7 instead. I also took a Chevrolet COE, firstly as a Jeepers Creepers reference, and then as an actual truck for Rayan, the big rear part allowing him to carry stuff and people. It is worth noticing Ray also possesses an old motorhome he also live in.

4.Ray was actually a member of the Lost M.C before Speed took control of the gang. He saw Speed getting in the gang, and as time passed, he saw how the leader treated him. He ended up talking about this to him, before realising the leader wouldn't change his mind. He saw the Leader's relation with Speed worsening everyday, until Speed finally had enough and attacked the Leader. Rayan was not satisfied with the action of the former Leader, and decided to help Speed maintain his newly acquired power in the gang to prevent such issues from happening again.

5.Rayan has a big sister named Abigaëlle, which had to take care of him since their parents worked a lot. The two characters share many personality traits.

6.Jeff and Ray, even if they aren't proper friends, since they only know eachother thanks to Speed, also share some personality traits and get along very well when they happen to meet.

7.The design of Ray was actually different from what I first wanted. I decided to mix both the Sonic style and the furry style, as I did not want to keep on making Sonic  fan-characters. As a result, he can be seen as my first "furry" character, even tho he still shares a lot with Sonic characters.

8.I don't use him enough.
